SIOUX FALLS, SD –
The four candidates running for South Dakota’s open U.S. Senate seat will appear together at four debates this fall.
Former Republican Governor Mike Rounds, Democrat Rick Weiland, and Independent candidates Larry Pressler and Gordon Howie have all accepted an invitation from KELOLAND TV to discuss the issues facing the state and the country during a live primetime forum onOctober 29 at 7 p.m. CDT. The joint appearance will be broadcast statewide less than a week before voters head to the polls.
The debate schedule kicks off next month when all four candidates are scheduled to appear atDakotafest in Mitchell on Wednesday August 20 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the afternoon. That debate is sponsored by South Dakota State University.
