(The following was originally published in the Argus Leader.)
After making headlines for his so-far-unsuccessful efforts to get into South Dakota State University’s Hobo Day parade, independent U.S. Senate candidate Larry Pressler highlighted two new 30-second TV ads today. One is largely a rehash of a prior ad (and actually came out over a week ago), while the other is new. Both are cheaply made — stock photos and Pressler talking to the camera. Pressler’s been advertising steadily, if fairly cheaply, and judging by polling it seems to be having an effect.
