February 9, 2016, Santa Fe, NM – Gov. Gary Johnson, Libertarian candidate for President, released the following statement regarding the New Hampshire Primary results:

“New Hampshire’s results proved once again that the so-called major party nominating process produces candidates who are on the edges of the political and policy spectrum, leaving the majority of Americans without a choice they can feel good about.

“I remain convinced that the real majority in America are fiscally conservative and socially tolerant. They want a government that does less and costs less, and allows individuals to run their own lives, businesses and families.

“If voters are looking to the winners of the New Hampshire primary for a candidate who reflects those beliefs, they are going to be disappointed.

“2016 is shaping up to be the year when the real ‘mainstream’ candidate won’t be found in either the Republican or Democratic nominees.”

  1. The Democratic Party has not produced a decent nominee for President since Grover Cleveland. The Republican Party has not done any better since Calvin Coolidge. I’m sure that Gary Johnson is not surprised. At least he, or one of the other good Libertarian or Constitution Party candidates, will give us someone to vote for.

  2. And, Libertarians aren’t even further on the edge?

Oh, and Al? Grover Cleveland helped cause and exacerbate the worst fiscal crisis outside the Depression. And Silent Cal issued more executive orders than anybody other than FDR and Wilson.

It’s called history. Give it a spin.
