Posting No. 1601:  Campaign Manager

The Jill Stein for President campaign is seeking a full-time national campaign manager. This Campaign Manager will be responsible for overall coordination of a groundbreaking Green Party campaign that will offer an alternative to the status quo.

The Campaign Manager will work closely with the presidential candidate, deputy campaign managers, senior staff, treasurer and advisors to develop and implement the overall campaign strategy.

 

The Campaign Manager will, in conjunction with supporting staff:

·      serve as a principal spokesperson for the campaign

·      set priorities and assign tasks for other staff

·      establish contracts with vendors, consultants, and staff

·      ensure that fundraising activities are successfully pursued

·      ensure that the message of the campaign is being effectively communicated through conventional media, social media, and video productions

·      monitor and direct ballot access efforts

·      coordinate as required with the Green Party of the United States and its related committees

·      in conjunction with the Treasurer and Compliance Officer, ensure adherence to campaign finance laws

Qualifications/Requirements

The political campaign manager will ideally have

• at least five years of political campaign or nonprofit management experience, including experience managing larger staffs;

• a successful track record in coalition building, grassroots or field campaign organizing, financial oversight and media communications;

• demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities, serve as a team leader, and maintain a sense of humor under stress;

• a commitment to the values and principles of the Green Party and the Jill Stein campaign.

The original campaign manager for the campaign had to step down from his position due to a health problem.  Two Deputy Campaign Managers were appointed to share the campaign manager responsibilities.   The campaign now seeks to bring in a full time campaign manager to consolidate campaign manager responsibilities under a single person.

Posting No. 1602:  Fundraising Director

The Jill Stein for President campaign is seeking a full time Fundraising Director to oversee all aspects of fundraising for a groundbreaking 2016 political campaign.

Our Fundraising Director will provide overall coordination and management of all aspect’s of the campaign’s fundraising efforts.  This is a full time position with location of work to be determined in consultation with the applicant.  Some evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Chair a Fundraising Team consisting of staff and volunteers engaged in fundraising.

• Coordinate with all staff and volunteers whose work impacts fundraising.

• Maintain a fundraising plan that sets goals for revenue and provides a fundraising budget.

• Execute the campaign’s fundraising plan by pursuing various strategies , including email appeals, direct mail appeals, social media, house parties, and other solicitation methods.

• Track fundraising statistics, analyze results of particular fundraising efforts, and reallocate resources appropriately.

•  Manage donor relations,  ensuring that all donors feel appreciated and developing relationships with key donors.

Qualifications/Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in political fundraising or similar areas

• Ability to lead a Fundraising Team that includes volunteer staff

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work well with other staff.

• Computer literacy, capable of using spreadsheets and Nationbuilder software for extraction of data and analysis of donations.

• Creativity in exploiting new fundraising opportunities provided by online systems and new technology.

• Enthusiasm about building an alternative political force in the United States.

Posting No. 1603:  Assistant Field Director

The Jill Stein for President campaign (JSP)  is seeking an Assistant Field Director (AFD) to support a groundbreaking 2016 political campaign.  This is a full time position with location of work to be determined in consultation with the applicant.    This AFD will work under the campaign’s Field Director to ensure that field activities are succeeding.   The primary focus of the AFD for the first 8 months of 2016 will be supporting ballot access efforts in a dozen or so states where assistance in petitioning from the Jill Stein campaign is needed to ensure Green Party ballot access.  The AFD will ensure that plans are written for ballot access in the target states.   The AFD will coordinate with state Green parties and with the Green Party Ballot Access Committee.  The AFD will activate JSP volunteers in the target states to support the petitioning efforts.  In some cases volunteers from one state will be asked to travel to adjacent states to support their petitioning.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in field organizing and petitioning campaigns.

• Ability to work well with volunteers, paid petitioners, and state Green Parties.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and monitor progress toward deadlines.

Posting No. 1604:  Youth Director

The Jill Stein for President campaign is seeking a full time Youth Director to support a groundbreaking 2016 political campaign.  This is a full time position with location of work to be determined in consultation with the applicant.    The Director will oversee campaign outreach to young voters and will have primary leadership responsibility for the campaign’s Young Greens Rising (YGR) initiative.   The Director will be responsible for establishing YGR chapters on college campuses, for activating young people as volunteers, and for ensuring that the campaign message reaches young voters.

• Experience in organizing volunteer initiatives.

• Ability to inspire and activate young people.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and direct support to different facets of the Jill Stein campaign.

Posting No. 1605:   Administrative Assistant

The Jill Stein for President campaign is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support a groundbreaking 2016 political campaign.  This is a part-time contract position with hours worked and location of work to be determined in consultation with the applicant.    The Administrator will work under the Campaign Managers to provide support in several areas.   Among the tasks that may be undertaken are:

• Support of Core Team telecons, including scheduling times and taking minutes during telecons.

• Handling campaign correspondence as requested by the candidate or Campaign Manager

• Making inquiries via telephone and email to gather information, conduct surveys, confirm commitments, and determine the status of assigned tasks.

• Extracting data from campaign databases to answer questions or provide assistance to campaign staff.

• Other defined tasks that may be assigned by the Campaign Managers to support the executive functions of the campaign.

The ideal applicant for this position would have good writing skills, be flexible in time of availability, be comfortable on the telephone, be able to learn to use of the software tools of the campaign, and be enthusiastic about the goals of the campaign.
