Throwback Thursday: Cynthia McKinney accepts Green Party presidential nomination

Throwback Thursday: For today’s “Throwback Thursday” segment, ATPR travels down memory lane to July 12th, 2008, when former Georgia Democratic congresswoman Cynthia McKinney accepted the Green Party’s 2008 presidential nomination at the party’s national convention at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. After McKinney officially became the standard bearer of her new party that year, her choice for a running mate, Rosa Clemente, was selected as the vice-presidential nominee by the delegates through a voice vote. The McKinney/Clemente ticket went on to win 161,797 votes, or 0.12%, nationwide.
