Constitution Party Candidate, Darrell Castle, Says He’s More Libertarian Than Gary Johnson

By Matthew Carr,, July 2nd, 2016:

Darrell Castle is The Constitution Party’s candidate for president this year, and I was fortunate enough to come in contact with his campaign. They were very kind, and when I asked Mr. Castle for an interview he was more than willing to do so. The following are the questions and answers which were given through email.

For any who may be unfamiliar with you, could you please tell a little about yourself and about The Constitution Party?

I was born on a small farm in East Tennessee. I have degrees in History and Political science from East Tennessee State University and a Law degree from The University of Memphis. I was a Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps with foreign service around the world.

Excellent interview! I wish him the best in obtaining enough ballot access to be considered viable. I, too, am very disappointed with the Libertarian ticket. I preferred the Baldwin/Castle ticket to the Barr/Root ticket in 2008. Only lack of ballot status for the Constitution Party caused me to vote for the Libertarian ticket that year. I hope not to be put in that position again this year.

  2. Darrell is not more Libertarian then Gary Johnson. He has yet to condemn or publicly distance himself from the CP’s national platform and the hyper-religious fundamentalist rhetoric contained within, and still takes a socially conservative stance on the issues of abortion, immigration, and LGBT rights.

That, and wanting to put Herb Titus- a Christian Reconstructionist with ties to Michael Peroutka -on the SCOTUS, is quite damming and shows that he is likely as zealous as those certain outspoken individuals of the CP.
