A compilation of recent BAN articles showing voter registration data and statistics from various states from November and last month, as listed in descending alphabetical order-

 

New Alaska Registration Data

On November 3, Alaska Division of Elections released current registration data. Percentages are: independent and miscellaneous 52.62%; Republican 27.20%; Democratic 14.85%; Alaskan Independence 3.29%; Libertarian 1.43%; Green .32%; Veterans .22%; Constitution .07%.

Percentages in February 2016 were: independent and miscellaneous 54.51%; Republican 26.50%; Democratic 13.73%; Alaskan Independence 3.21%; Libertarian 1.46%; Green .33%; Veterans .22%; Constitution .05%.

New Arizona Registration Data

On October 28, the Arizona Secretary of State released registration data. The percentages: Republican 34.54%; Democratic 30.41%; Libertarian .87%; Green .19%; independent and miscellaneous 33.98%.

In January 2016, the percentages were: Republican 34.31%; Democratic 28.76%; Libertarian .82%; Green .16%; independent and miscellaneous 35.96%.

New California Registration Data

On November 4, the California Secretary of State released new registration data. The percentages: Democratic 44.92%; Republican 26.01%; American Independent 2.61%; Libertarian .72%; Green .49%; Peace & Freedom .39%; independent and miscellaneous 24.86%.

In January 2016, the percentages were: Democratic 43.10%; Republican 27.62%; American Independent 2.73%; Libertarian .70%; Green .59%; Peace & Freedom .44%; independent and miscellaneous 24.81%.

In the new tally, the largest unqualified party in California, the Reform Party, is not mentioned, because the Reform Party has not re-filed its request to be a political body. The Constitution Party is in the new report, and it has 330 registrants.

New Colorado Registration Data

On November 1, the Colorado Secretary of State released registration data. The percentages: Democratic 31.80%; Republican 31.51%; Libertarian 1.16%; Green .35%; Constitution .30%; Unity .02%; independent and miscellaneous 34.86%.

In February 2016, the percentages were: Republican 32.60%; Democratic 31.35: Libertarian .84%; Green .24%; Constitution .24%; Unity .01%; independent and miscellaneous 34.73%.

New Connecticut Registration Data

On October 28, the Connecticut Secretary of State released new registration data. Percentages: Democratic 37.63%; Republican 21.54%; Independent Party 1.01%; Libertarian .12%; Green .09%; Working Families .02%; independent and miscellaneous 39.60%.

In February 2016, the percentages had been: Democratic 36.89%; Republican 20.97%; Independent Party .87%; Libertarian .09%; Green .08%; Working Families .02%; independent and miscellaneous 41.08%. Thanks to Jim for the link.

New Delaware Registration Data

On November 1, Delaware Elections Commission released new registration data. Percentages: Democratic 47.49%; Republican 28.03%; Independent Party .79%; Libertarian .22%; Green .12%; American Delta .12%; Constitution .05%; Working Families .06%; independent and miscellaneous 23.11%.

Percentages in April 2016 were: Democratic 47.33%; Republican 28.06%; Independent Party .63%; Libertarian .18%; Green .09%; Working Families .07%; Constitution .05%; independent and miscellaneous 23.59%.

New Florida Registration Data

On October 28, the Florida Secretary of State released new registration data. The percentages: Democratic 37.92%; Republican 35.37%; Independent Party 2.04%; Independence Party .34%; Libertarian .22%; Green .05%; Reform .01%; Constitution .01%; America’s Party .01%; Ecology Party below .01%; Party for Socialism and Liberation below .01%.

In February 2016, the percentages were: Democratic 37.89%; Republican 35.45%; Independent Party 2.15%; Independence Party .37%; Libertarian .19%; Green .04%; Reform .01%; Constitution .01%; America’s Party .01%; Ecology Party below .01%; Party for Socialism and Liberation below .01%.

New Idaho Registration Data

The Idaho Secretary of State has posted the November 1, 2016 registration data. The new percentages are: Republican 48.27%; Democratic 10.64%; Libertarian .64%; Constitution .32%; independent and miscellaneous 40.13%.

In February 2016, the percentages were: Republican 40.30%; Democratic 9.53%; Libertarian .63%; Constitution .31%; independent and miscellaneous 49.23%.

New Iowa Registration Data

On November 1, the Iowa Secretary of State released new voter registration data. The percentages: Republican 33.17%; Democratic 31.51%; Libertarian .42%; Green .13%; independent and miscellaneous 34.76%. The Libertarian and Green totals are not on the Secretary of State’s web page, but are 8,366 Libertarians and 2.671 Greens.

In February 2016, the percentages were: Republican 31.78%; Democratic 30.29%; Libertarian .30%; Green .09%; independent and miscellaneous 37.53%.

New Kentucky Voter Registration Data

On October 20, the Kentucky State Elections Board released new registration data. The percentages: Democratic 51.23%; Republican 40.47%; Libertarian .23%; Green .05%; Constitution .01%; Socialist Workers under .01%; Reform under .01%; independent and miscellaneous 8.00%.

The percentages in January 2016 were: Democratic 52.23%; Republican 39.74%; Libertarian .16%; Green .03%; Constitution .01%; Reform under .01%; Socialist Workers under .01%; independent and miscellaneous 7.83%.

New Louisiana Registration Data

The Louisiana Secretary of State says this is the number of registered voters in various parties, as of November 7: Democratic 1,344,741; Republican 898,448; Libertarian 14,088; Green 2,528; Reform 1,344; Conservative 844; Constitution 210; Socialist 72; Prohibition 2; independent and miscellaneous 760,249.

The percentages are: Democratic 44.49%; Republican 29.73%; Libertarian .47%; Green .08%; Reform .04%; Conservative .03%; Constitution .01%; Socialist and Prohibition under .01%.

The February 2016 percentages were: Democratic 45.66%; Republican 28.40%; Libertarian .41%; Green .07%; Reform .05%; Conservative .03%; Constitution, Socialist and Prohibition under .01%. Thanks to Randall Hayes for the information.

New Maine Registration Data

On October 21, the Maine Secretary of State released new registration data. The percentages: Democratic 32.58%; Republican 26.84%; Green 4.02%; Libertarian .54%; independent and miscellaneous 36.01%.

In February 2016 the percentages had been: Democratic 31.41%; Republican 26.69%; Green 4.07%; Libertarian .46%; independent and miscellaneous 37.38%.

New Maryland Registration Data

The Maryland State Board of Elections has released voter registration data as of October 23, 2016. Percentages: Democratic 55.15%; Republican 26.01%; Libertarian .48%; Green .23%; independent and miscellaneous 18.13%.

Percentages in January 2016 were: Democratic 54.19%; Republican 25.86%; Libertarian .45%; Green .22%; independent and miscellaneous 19.28%.

New Nebraska Voter Registration Tally

On November 1, Nebraska’s Secretary of State released new registration data. The percentages: Republican 48.10%; Democratic 30.59%; Libertarian .91%; independent 20.40%. No one is registered into any unqualified party in Nebraska. The form does not have a blank line in the section that asks about political party choice. When a party goes off the ballot in Nebraska, all its members are converted to independents, whether they desire this or not.

In February 2016 the percentages were: Republican 48.41%; Democratic 30.45%; Libertarian .61%; independent 20.53%.

New Jersey Registration Data

On November 7, the New Jersey Secretary of State posted new registration data. The percentages: Democratic 35.64%; Republican 20.82%; Libertarian .09%; Conservative .06%; Green .05%; Constitution .04%; Socialist .02%; Natural Law .02%; Reform .01%; independent and miscellaneous 43.24%.

Percentages in January 2016 were: Democratic 32.10%; Republican 19.47%; Libertarian .05%; Green .02%; Conservative .01%; Constitution, Natural Law, Reform, and Socialist, under .01%. Socialist registration back then was only 25 voters in the entire state, but now it is 1,271.

New Oregon Registration Data

On November 5, the Oregon Secretary of State posted new voter registration data. Scroll down to the third chart. It tells not only the number of registered voters in each party, but how many members of each party have already sent in their mail ballots. Percentages are: Democratic 38.45%; Republican 27.86%; Independent Party 4.64%; Libertarian .74%; Working Families .42%; Green .40%; Constitution .14%; Progressive .07%; independent and miscellaneous 27.27%.

Percentages in February 2016 were: Democratic 38.04%; Republican 29.62%; Independent Party 5.09%; Libertarian .79%; Working Families .53%; Green .43%; Constitution .16%; Progressive .09%; independent and miscellaneous 25.24%.

New Rhode Island Registration Data

The Rhode Island Secretary of State’s office says that as of November 7, the number of registered voters in each party is: Democratic 319,729; Repubican 92,709; Moderate 2,817; independent and miscellaneous 367,628. These numbers are not on any state web page yet. The percentages are: Democratic 40.84%; Republican 11.84%; Moderate .36%; independent and miscellaneous 46.96%.

In February 2016 the percentages were: Democratic 39.05%; Republican 10.30%; Moderate .34%; independent and miscellaneous 50.32%.

New Utah Voter Registration Data

On November 1, the Utah state elections office released new voter registration data. The percentages: Republican 48.40%; Democratic 11.39%; Independent American Party 1.41%; Libertarian .81%; Constitution .33%; Green .07%; independent and miscellaneous 37.59%. The Green registration total is not on the state web page, but is 916 voters.

In January 2016, the percentages were: Republican 47.50%; Democratic 9.32%; Independent American Party .79%; Libertarian .62%; Constitution .30%; Green .09%; independent and miscellaneous 41.38%.

On November 1, the Wyoming Secretary of State released new voter registration data. Percentages are: Republican 68.36%; Democratic 19.61%; Libertarian .64%; Constitution .20%; independent and miscellaneous 11.19%.

In February 2016 the percentages had been: Republican 69.45%; Democratic 19.34%; Libertarian .50%; Constitution .14%; independent and miscellansous 10.57%.
