Throwback Thursday: Darryl W. Perry delivers keynote at Keenevention 2015

Throwback Thursday: Darryl W. Perry, the first announced candidate for the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination and an anarchist writer and regular co-host on the nationally syndicated radio talk show, Free Talk Live, attended the annual Keenvention event in November 0f 2015. Keenevention is a libertarian event hosted by members of the Free Keene community in Keene, New Hampshire, which in the last several years has become a hotbed of libertarian/voluntaryist/anarchist activism. Lew Rockwell, the founder of the Mises Institute and a former staffer to former congressman Ron Paul, has described Keene as “the northern capital of libertarianism.

Perry, currently polling in fifth place at 2% of the vote among announced Libertarian Party presidential candidates in an official LP.org poll, gave the closing keynote address. On February 5th, a video of his speech (with currently just under 200 views) surfaced on YouTube. From the YouTube video description:

On Tuesday, Free Press Publications owner and Free Keene member Darryl Perry moderated a mayoral debate for Keene, New Hampshire, a city of about 24,000 people. The Keene Liberty Alliance, a local libertarian organization to which Perry belongs, hosted the debate. Continue reading
